Plot Summary

The Wild Robot centers around the character of Roz, a sophisticated robot created by an innovative technology, who gets marooned on an island. However, when Roz is activated she is fully equipped and trained for any mission, even though she is unable instinctively to adapt to her new surroundings. The island, however, is populated by other life forms and as it turned out, Roz was not welcome to the animal community.

Eventually, Roz begins to trust the islanders and tries to integrate into the surrounding ecosystem. This inspires her to adopt a young gosling, Brightbill as her own. In contrast, the two characters find a way to settle in their new environment by creating their own incompatible yet thriving relationship.

As in every family drama, the questions of who the characters are and where they belong comma, and can they adjust help unravel the plot. The character growth of Roz and the internal conflict surrounding her relationship with Brightbill is commendable, thus the film is a tear jerker and uplifting as well.
